About Upstormed Records
Upstormed Records is the record label of Upstormed Inc and the home of all Upstormed music. Jonathan Anthony Burkett founded it to release his own songs, and since 2014 it has put out hip hop, soul and reggae with a message: change, faith, perseverance and never giving up.
The label’s first big moment was “One Life” (2014), featuring reggae singer Ambelique and produced with Willie Lindo, which got airplay in Jamaica. “Changes” featuring Polancapop followed in 2018 and was covered by the indie music press. In 2024 the label released “Born To Make It” and the EP Life As I Know It.
Jonathan built his following on South Florida’s underground hip hop scene. Many of his songs share their titles and themes with his books, so listeners can go deeper with the music and the writing together.
